Day 11 – Fire Closure to Idyllwild

MM: 168.6 – Fire Closure (2013 Fire) Trail Miles: None Miles Walked: 10 + running around town With a little over 8 miles of the PCT still closed from the 2013 Mountain Fire near Idyllwild, CA, we had left the trail at mile 168.6. There was a re-route/alternate trail to get us to Idyllwild. Wanderer

Day 10 – Mile 149.9 to 168.6 Plus

MM: 168.6 Trail Miles: 18.7 Miles Walked: 23.5 Cowboy Camp – Hiker slang for sleeping outside without a tent I woke up from my first night of cowboy camping around 0400. Zack, the young guy from OR was packing up. He’d said he was getting the trail at 0415. I hadn’t gotten much sleep –

Day 9 – Mile 129.2 to 149.9
